
Wayne Duckmann, PLS founded Ultimate Surveying Applications in 2022 in order to fulfill his lifelong dream of operating his own land surveying firm. Wayne is committed to the profession and takes pride in its rich history. In Illinois, there have only been 4,100 Professional Land Surveyor licenses issued since 1937; Wayne is umber 3,960.
Wayne is a dedicated professional whose career journey blends public service, private enterprise, and a lifelong passion for community building. Wayne served as the Community and Economic Development Director for the City of Freeport for 4 years while also operating his new firm. In 2025, Ultimate Surveying Applications had grown to a point where he could fully realize his dream and pursue his passion full time. His career is rooted in over 20 years of experience in land surveying, construction management, city planning,municipal development, and public administration.
Wayne is a licensed professional land surveyor in the states of Illinois and Wisconsin. Beyond technical acumen, Wayne believes in serving his clients through the diverse circumstances that require a land surveyor. Whether it is a boundary survey to construct a fence, staking out a foundation for a commercial building, or consulting a client with a zoning land use application, Wayne makes customer satisfaction paramount.


Wayne Duckmann is a proud family man, volunteer football and volleyball coach, and lifelong Midwesterner who believes in giving back to the community that shaped him.
Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Wayne is a graduate of St. Patrick High School. St. Patrick High School taught him the values of hard work, discipline, education, community, and teamwork. Wayne continues to build upon these values by working with the next generation through mentorship.
Wayne lives in Rockford, IL with his wife Kristen and their two children Tripp and Magnolia. He is a devoted husband and father who stays active in their lives . He volunteers as an Assistant Football Coach for the Rockford Titans, where he helps young athletes build confidence, discipline, and teamwork on and off the field. He is also a volunteer Volleyball Coach at All Saints Catholic Academy.
Wayne's passion for the outdoors extends to his personal life. He loves fishing, boating, camping, or taking a drive in his 1987 Jeep Wrangler with the top down.
